I am on win 10. The program does not appear in the list of programs in the windows task manager, but starts automatically each time I start my computer. How can I stop that?
The 2 most common cause of programs reloading at startup with Windows 10 are
not closing the programs completely and allowing time for the close to complete - usually < 1 minute - before starting the computer shutdown
performing a hard power off by holding the power button in with the program still running.
Windows 10 remembers the last state of the computer when shutdown and the next time you start the computer and login in it will return to that state and reload the program.
Again, I've never seen VPX11 remaining "open" in Task Manager but yes, I can see why this might cause it to reopen on Windows boot.
Suggestion: if, having closed VPX, you go into Task Manager and choose End Task for VPX (and ensure it has shit down), then shut down and restart the computer, does the problem persist?
. . . I have noticed that VPX11 stays in task manager after I close it . . . .
In the Apps section or the Background processes section?
Wait for it to close in Task Manager it should take a few miutes minutes - I suspect that some 'housekeeping' that is normally done after first run and has not been completed for some reason.
Maybe it's internet speed related. Mine is 200Mbps download and 3.3Mbps upload or maybe because of geographical location. (Connecting to a different server?)
