Hi and welcome to the forum

The only time I have seen this happen is

  1. when there has been a crash and the crash report has not been sent

    or

  2. when the computer has been shut down improperly with the power button instead of using Windows button, Power button, Shutdown..

Try closing down VideoDeluxe and then restart the computer using Windows button, Power button, Restart.

I did it several times, but it keeps opening each time I start the computer...

It s true it has crashed several times (incredible how this version is still unstable after so many years...)

I have never experienced this with VPX 11!

Have you checked Task Manager>Start-up tab if it is listed there? It should not be but if it is, Disable it!

The 2 most common cause of programs reloading at startup with Windows 10 are

  1. not closing the programs completely and allowing time for the close to complete - usually < 1 minute - before starting the computer shutdown

  2. performing a hard power off by holding the power button in with the program still running.

Windows 10 remembers the last state of the computer when shutdown and the next time you start the computer and login in it will return to that state and reload the program.

No, it is not in startup, but thanks. I will keep an eye on this throughout the week as well.

Come to think of it. I have noticed that VPX11 stays in task manager after I close it.

Pro X10 did not do that. I remember one version of Samplitude used to do that also...

hmmm. Pro X11 bug maybe that needs to be fixed like they had to fix Samplitude?

Again, I've never seen VPX11 remaining "open" in Task Manager but yes, I can see why this might cause it to reopen on Windows boot.

Suggestion: if, having closed VPX, you go into Task Manager and choose End Task for VPX (and ensure it has shit down), then shut down and restart the computer, does the problem persist?

. . . I have noticed that VPX11 stays in task manager after I close it . . . .

In the Apps section or the Background processes section?

Wait for it to close in Task Manager it should take a few miutes minutes - I suspect that some 'housekeeping' that is normally done after first run and has not been completed for some reason.

Yes it does and is very annoying when you are trying to download plug-in packs.

It does eventually go away but hangs around on my machine for more than four minutes but normally less than ten.

Maybe it's internet speed related. Mine is 200Mbps download and 3.3Mbps upload or maybe because of geographical location. (Connecting to a different server?)
