How do you end a movie in Movie Edit Pro 12?

I am making a slide show for a website.  I have put 45 still images together with a 13-1/2 minute interview.  I was even able to put a few subtitles into the mix.  Now I need to figure out how to set an ending marker.  What happens now is the playback reaches the end and then loops back to the last postion on the playback bar (my term).  What must I do to have the video slide show play to the last frame and go black - finis??

blueswoody,

When you say 'playback reaches the end...' what are you playing, and what is playing it?

If it's your timeline project being previewed in MEP I don't think there is any choice -- same behavior in MEP14+, but VPX stops at the end marker.

If you've burnt a DVD and it's looping in a DVD player, check on the MEP burning edit screen what's ticked for 'Action at the end of film'.

If you've exported a file for playing with say Windows Media Player I think looping is a player setting, nothing to do with your video.

And... If you want you can extend the black at the end by simply inserting a blank black jpeg image stretched to the duration you want.

Regards,

Carl
