How long should a completed video take to render and to make a DVD

I noticed that it take a long time to make a DVD from a one hour movie..I do not have any special thinks done to it..

Hi,
It will take FOREVER!!!! Only several hours if you're lucky.

On DVD it is recommended to write down a disk in capacity of 4,7 Gbytes no more than 2 hours of video. It is possible to contain and more, but it will worsen quality, especially, amateur videorecordings.
