How to ungroup, replace audio

I am using Movie Edit Pro 17.    I have video of a basketball game that I want to narrate and delete the crowd sounds.   I tried to "ungroup" in edit but can't find a seperate audio file to delete.

I have sucessfully created an audio file of narration, and I did combine it with the existing file using the "audio and video mixdown" option under edit.  The problem is that the crowd noises are way too loud compared to the narration.  Thanks.

michiganuser,

Are you in 'Timeline mode'? Here video and its associated audio are show on two separate horizontal tracks (typically 1 & #2) whose lengths vary with playing time. If so there should be no problem. I suspect you are in 'Storyboard mode' where objects are displayed like old 35mm slides, one thumbnail per object irrespective of length.

To change modes use the set of icons on the far left under the preview window. For more info use 'Help' from the main menu and search for 'mode' etc.
