I have Video Deluxe Plus (2026) :: But ProDAD Hide V2 not included??

Apollo89x wrote on 3/12/2026, 8:59 AM

I have Video Deluxe Plus (2026)...
However when I've gone to Extra Effects | Plug-Ins
=
I get a dialogue box saying "A video effects plug-in could not be found".
Then it goes on to say that this is probably because no plug-ins are installed.

When I have looked online it states that the " ProDAD Hide V2" is meant to be included in Video Deluxe Plus (2026)...
Yet on my version = I literally have zero plug-ins pre-installed!

But so does anyone know how exactly I can install this plug-in, please?

@Apollo89x

First, can you show exactly where you have read online that the ProDAD Hide v2 is meant to be included in VdL Plus 2026? I ask this because, looking at this page I see "addons" mentioned only with the Premium and Ultimate variants.

If you should have Hide with your purchase, have you checked the confirmation email for a specific serial or voucher code for this software? Like all third-party plugins/addons it is not automatically installed with the core program, VdL, but requires the user to download and install it.

I have the Premium edition and if I go to Effects>Extra effects I see a number of plugins, including Hide, listed there.

It was via a Google Search (*the Ai info at the top indicated that the "Plus Version" of Magix includes ProDAD hide V2).

However after having looked into it, I've discovered that Magix as a company have basically tried to mislead/fool people by renaming the basic version as "Plus" | Wheras that used to be the mdi-range level in previous versions.

I have further researched, and it appears that the new mid-range version (Premium) does not include ProDAD hide v2 as standard either.

Instead ONLY the top-level version (Ultimate) includes it.
*The mid-range version (Premium) that they're currently selling doesn't have that included for free.

(That information has been obtained via Google Searches + Via Magix's own website: https://www.magix.com/gb/video-editing/video-deluxe/version-comparison)

@Apollo89x

Hi,

No, nothing is misleading at all. Magix dropped the "Basic" model a couple of years ago. Plus is still as it always was. Premium is just Plus with additional effects and more quota for Hub services. Nowhere does it say that proDAD Hide is included in anything except Ultimate.

Do not trust AI searches. It would find old information and you would think that it was new. What is on the Magix site is what they, Magix, are selling.

BTW, proDAD Hide is a standalone program, not a plugin, even though it can be downloaded from within the program if purchased.

So this is yet more deliberately misleading & false advertsing by the fucktards who run Magix!!

As they claim in big bold writing on their website that the Ultimate Version includes these ProDAD features as "Add-Ons"
\
When the ACTUAL reality = That is just total lies & nonsense!

All you get with the Ultimate Version
=
A download link, via which you can download the entirely seperate ProDAD video editing program.
(You could literally just download the porgram directly from the ProDAD website)

The features are not in any way whatsoever an "Add-On" with Video Deluxe
\
Instead ProDAD is an entirely seperate video editing program.

So Magix is just displaying total utter garbage, trying to false give the impression that the ProDAD functions are included within Video Deluxe Ultimate || When the actual reality is that Magix has 0% inter-connection with ProDAD!

###

I'm ofcourse now gonna just do do a chargeback against Magix, to get my money back that I paid for this worthless upgrade.

But hopefully this post will warn other people about the fact that Video Deluxe Ultimate DOES NOT include any functions whatsoever of ProDAD included within the program!
