Image Creation Error 040103ea

Does anyone know what this error is and what might be causing it: MDA reports dvd image creation error 040103ea? This only happens when I try to burn a bluray disk. I have never had a problem buring regular dvd's. The movie encodes fine, the movie menu encodes fine, but when it gets to the step of creting dvd image, I get the error. Then another box opens and says burning aborted with the follow ing error - error encoding. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Just to be on the safe side, have you downloaded the latest patch?

I am not certain which Movie Edit Pro you have, so I am not sure what link to use, but I suggest going to the support website, and checking there to see if you can apply any patch for your version.

Thanks - yes: movie_edit_pro_14_plus_7.5.3.2_us and the 2010 burn routine and the ligos update.. I tried to burn to my hard drive with the image recorder and the same thing happens.

Ok, with Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus.... Are you running this in a Windows 7 machine?

If yes, the issue might just come down to compatibility. I think with Movie Edit Pro 14, it was only a Vista 32 application, thought I am sure it ran in Vista 64, it just never was optimized for the 64 bit OS. Windows 7 has changed a lot of that, and I think the older MAGIX applications just are not compatible, though they might run it is doubtful they run as efficiently as the newer title versions.

I have not had any other problems with the program either importing video, editing, exporting movies or burning to dvd's running on vista 64 since I purchased the software a couple of years ago. This was the first time I'm trying to burn a blu-ray disc and discovered this error. However, if I open my movie in the edit screen and then click the burn tab, I get a standard plain movie menu that comes up automatically. If I alter it in any way (change text, controls, background, etc.) when the burning process reaches creating the dvd image for the blu-ray disc I get the error. If I leave it alone as is, I get success. Never had an issue with this burning a dvd - just blu-ray. Even if I change one letter in the text, I get the error. Is there a listing somewhere of error codes??????
