Is there a pause button in Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus?

I have recently purchased MAGIX Movie Pro 17 Plus and I have discovered, that unlike version 14, under the little playback monitor screen thing, the play/pause button has been replaced by a play/stop button and this is very aggravating. Every time I wish to pause, it hops back to where I started. Therefore, it is difficult for me to find my intended cutting position etc.

Please if you know what I can do, it is much appreciated.

If you go to Program Settings (Y) > Playback, you can set "Space bar stops at current---". But I use the Spacebar and/or Up/Down Arrow in combination to start and stop at current position.

In addition to this, we have the J, K, L to play backwards, stop and forewards. Two or more taps give higher speed. Ingenious !
