Hi Billy,

I see that your movie files are stored on Microsoft's OneDrive. It's possible you have a poor internet connection, or you've run out of space on OneDrive, causing things to slow down. You could try putting your movie files, including your MVP project file, in a folder on one of your internal drives. Then, from this folder, transfer the MVP project files to the timeline in Pro X17 and export them as MP4 files.

I wish you luck,
Rob

Personally, I disabled OnDrive. I had a lot of problems with it too. Disabling it solved my problems. But it's up to the user how to handle this.

It was easier said than done. But Thanks very much.🙂

For those that are wondering. I have a brand new PC (win 11) I did not know it comes with OneDrive installed and working. It seems that my installation of Magix went to OD so filled it up. So every time i tried an edit, OD said to my pc, "sorry mate, we are full" so Magix stopped.

You can switch off OD, well you are supposed to be able to, or you can uninstall it (that's what they say) I could do neither, so as this PC is solely for editing, I told windows to delete and reinstall itself (reset pc is what it's called) After it was done re-installing, I went to control panel add/remove programmes and uninstalled OD Then I reinstalled Magix. Yes it was a lot of grief, but at least I can now edit videos.

This may help someone, and once again, a BIG THANK YOU to bol or is it Rob 💯

Hi Billy,

You're welcome. You didn't need to reset Windows. You can certainly remove OneDrive. I did it this way.

See the video:

Anyway, you finally managed to disable OneDrive, albeit in a roundabout way.

Best wishes,
Rob

Hi, I know you've reinstalled, uninstalled OD etc,, 👍 So just for anyone else.

My files on (C) drive show as if they're in OneDrive but that is now just a folder destination on my PC, I've signed out of OD & disabled it in Start-up - Taskmanager. I've been online & my OneDrive is empty, none of my files come from or go there.

I have 2 of the same M.2 drives on my motherboard, one - (C) Drive is for Windows, programs, Documents files & a few temp Desktop files that sometimes inc video files for projects. , The other (D) Drive is the main one I use for files in use, clips & projects I'm working on. , (I have other drives that finished/compiled videos get moved to for archiving)

(C) Drive shows files as - 'C:\Users\gidjo\OneDrive\Documents.. etc', the other has no OD mentioned at all - 'D:\work stuff\Temp vids\Chloes\Koby shelves'. I see no difference with the performance with the files on either drive or any internet activity when interacting with these files. If I wasn't satisfied that OD was disabled & it was interfering I'd have done as you did with a full reset & uninstallation of OD but as far as I can tell it has no affect at all & is as I say just a location on my PC now..

Just sharing..

@Bol You posted whilst I was writing, although I am satisfied 99.9% that OD isn't active on my PC I might still consider removing it, so thanks for the vid I'll look into it one day maybe.

Hi @Gid,

No problem, it happens to me regularly that answers cross each other. Would the answer below also be useful to you?

I already had problems with OneDrive under Windows 10. I interrupted the sync by repeatedly pausing OneDrive. I decided to disable OneDrive permanently and remove it from my work computer. However, I can still log in to OneDrive from my work computer using this:

I do have to log in. My mobile phone and tablet, which I sync with OneDrive, can then retrieve my photos and videos.

Best regards,
Rob

Just saying, the thing with OD is when it is "full" (like what happened to me, but I did not know at the time.) you are then encouraged to "Buy more space" then what happens when you fill that up, or you forget to pay? Why not just get an "external HD" and if you really want put it on your own network, less hassle?
