Hi If you go to the program's Movie Settings and manually change the frame rate and audio to match the files and the press OK then the next time you open the settings they should be correct. Then import your video files.

If you are sill not getting audio then we may have to have a look at the video file data. More instructions on how to do that can come later if this doesn't work for you.

We need more information on the MOV file encoding formats used for the video and audio.

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the clips and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.      

Do you have QuickTime for Windows installed?

What is the final destination or /usage of the final video, ie a video file for uploading to the Internet or make a DVD etc.

I do not have QuickTime installed. All of the exported files I have tried so far have no audio. I tried several different export formats including WMV which has an option for 1X 20 FPS with 4X 11.025 kHz. Otherwise I was using 3X 20 FPS = 60 FPS and 4X 11.025 kHz = 44.1 kHz for integer multiples of the original settings from Kodak.

Still no audio. I attached here a sample video from the camera. The goal is to rotate it 90 degrees clockwise and then export it in a modern compressed format such as MP4 to share the rotated video. It looks like Apple has discontinued QuickTime for Windows 8 and newer but still has an installer available for Windows 7. Not sure if that will help Magix though. VLC Media Player can play the original file no problem.

Nicole, could you upload one of the videos to Google Drive or similar file-sharing site and post the link here for us to analyse. In the worst case, it's easy to convert them to a format Magix can handle for editing.

Hi.

The last version of QuickTime for Windows still works on the latest version of Windows. I have it installed with no problems. Whether Magix will take advantage of that for your videos or not I don't know. You can only try. It's also easy to uninstal if it doesn't work.

Players do not have to re-encode video and for whatever reason video editors often won't play videos easily played on players like VLC.

Microsoft Copilot suggested to re-encode the audiovideo with FFMPEG before importing to Magix. I haven't tried that yet but might be easier than trying to compile the video and audio separately after rotating.
