Hi, I used a song from Sound forge Pro 18 and it got flagged by the author for copyright. How do i get the license info for music I use so this does not happen again.
@John-Couto What author? There are some bad actors who simply claim they are the rights holders. For example, they take the royalty free music and add their own vocals and upload it via a distribution service. Then other users, like you, get flagged with false copyright notices because you use the same music. The system is simply broken because it's all automated and the algorithm only compares the audio.
For all files included in Sound Forge Pro you can find the license information in the EULA. To my knowledge, pro-versions of Magix software usually allow non-exclusive commercial usage of the included assets. But this won't help to prevent false copyright claims.
The song was C Maj Happy Piano by Jason Inc. I believe the Copyright claim was also from Jason as well. I am looking for the license info I can add to the Youtube description so as to avoid these copyright claims.
I purposely used the same song in another video and it got flagged again. I disputed and provided all of the licensing info from the EULA. here is the claimant info:
Respond to the claimants that the EULA for the Software and its Contents ie Soundpool loops, does not ascribe exclusive Copyright ownership to the user of those loops, they only have a licence to use these commercially and Copyright is retained by Magix, see the EULA sections 2.1 and 5.2.
You may also want to contact HAAWK Publishing directly pointing to the software EULA.
They are not the first company to do this when acting as an agent for a clients music. As a minimum they should have requested proof from the client that they do own full copyright to the music, not just a licence to use the loops commercially.
If you do not get a satisfactory response then send a message to Magix using the contact form here, giving them all the details.

It's nice to see that this board is active and helpful...Thanks Guys...I'm new to Magix products
So I decided to go to Haawk's website to see if I could find a better resolution to the Copyright problems. They have a Whitelisting process where you can explain your licensing and provide your Youtube channel address so they wont flag the story block content. I filled out the form over a week ago and have not heard back. How long does it take?
