MAGIX Edit Pro 14 keeps crashing upon export...trying to export audio only song

Hi,

I have a complicated timeline of audio which I've been editing a techno song.   One of two parts of the piece have very short chopped up audio clips, smallest size you can go.

MAGIX decides to randomly crash on this first segment half way through it.  I have absolutely no idea why it's doing this, as I have exported crazy edited songs before as MP3 only.  In addtion, exporting the timeline as a movie does not fix the problem either.  Essentially, I have a song finished, and I am stuck with no way out.

Any yes, I've check the timeline to make sure I didn't misplace a clip all the way down at the six hour mark, and yes, I already copy pasted the clips to a new timeline.  Same problem.  And yes I also rebooted.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hunter

1. You've checked the timeline extremes, but any possibility of a stray object in a high-numbered track?

2. Closely examining the timeline around the crash zone at max zoom, see any 'partial frames'?

3. Can you pinpoint the exact frame and remove it?

4. Presumably you've saved the project under a new name and that gives same crash?

5. Is it practical to upload a partial project (and associated files) somewhere, showing the problem? I use MEP17 but still have MEP14 and could try reproducing. At least that would confirm it's the project and not your setup.

Hi

Are the chopped up clips from one audio source or multiple sources?

If multiple sources are they all the same format/bitrate?.

I had a similar problem with MEP14 where I had mixed audio types and MEP seemed to choke when switching codecs IIRC from mp3 to wav and back.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the resposnes.   The clips weren't frames....not so much as just audio frames, but same difference I guess.

I deleted the short frames within the crash area....and it worked.  Though, when I first tried, it crashed at the beginning of the render.   I was able to stop this by selecting "export between in out point" which...should do that already not?

Anyways, the problem is resolved.  I'll just have to be more careful when editing in MAGIX.

Thanks,

Hunter
