Magix MEP 16 Plus - Can and Edited Movie Be Sestored Easily At The Click of A Button?

Whalebat wrote on 9/5/2011, 9:30 PM

MEP 16 Plus being non destructive editing, I write to as if there is an easy way to restore a movie to it original non-Edited Version?

Edit

I have notice a few  typos in the question subject box.

Is there a way for me to edit out the errors, it seems locked?

Thanks In Advance

Yes there is an easy way!

Simply start a new project and reimport the original footage.  Everything will then be back as it was before you started the editing etc.

Because MEP and VPX editing is "non-destructive" your original video files remain absolutely untouched and can be "re-used" from scratch at any time.

Your question about whether there is a "button" to restore an unedited version of a project, I think the strict answer is No.

Hello Emmrecs

Thanks for the answer..... re-import into a fresh project will do for me... no button needed.

Hi,

MEP also has a very handy feature that lets you restore to backups taken at intervals of your choice. So if you don't necessarily want to go right back to the start, you can choose an appropriate point.

Re your question about editing, unhappily the answer is No. Worse, you can't edit any of your posts apart from the original - and even on that, as you've found, you can't correct mistakes in the subject! Nor can you delete your post.

I've raised this several times over the last couple of months, the latest being here:

A Preview, a feature in all other forums I use, would also be very helpful.
