MEP 16 Plus - Exporting Audio and Video Of A Project Object

Whalebat wrote on 7/28/2011, 4:14 AM

If I have a project that consists of 10 small ( objects) video recordings with sound.

Question

Is it possible to select only one or a selection  of the 10 project objects and export

1. Audio and video

2. Video Only

3. Audio Only

What I Currently Have To Do

Delete all objects except the ones I want.

Save the project under a new name so as not to overwrite the original 10 object project.

Export video and sound as require.

Suggestion

It would be useful to be able to select objects, right click it to get a context menu with export options  which would only be executed for the selected objects.

Hi Whalebat

Set the range markers to the start (left click) and end (right click) of the sections you want to export.  You will get a blue range bar showing what is selected.  See image

On the export options ensure you have 'Selected range' checked and on the right of the dialog you should be able to select whether to export Video+Audio, Video or Audio.

Your suggestion re right click is good - however not practical if you want to export a range which may start/stop in mid clip.

Thanks John

That was too easy :)

I see understand what you mean about the context menu... I never thought about that.
