Hi

Does the player support AVCHD?  Some only support BD discs.

What type of disc did you burn to?

Hello John,

Yes it does, I have AVCHD discs that I have burned using Sony Play memories software that work great. I used a DVD +R

Hi

. . . . I used a DVD +R . . .

Have you used these discs before on the player with success?

DVD-R, are my preferred type, and DVD-RW for doing the initial burns and testing.

Are the DVD+R good quality branded discs?

yes these are the same discs that I used with the Sony Software. I was supprised when it did not work. Not sure if there is a setting I have to change?

I might have to look at the settings used in the Sony Play Memories sortware and see if they are the same as the Magix Movie Edit Por 2015 Plus, if not I may need to change the Movie Edit Pro settings.???

Hi

That will not affect MEP as it already has the optimum settings for creating AVCHD discs.  This just may be a bad disc in the batch.

I would suggest getting some rewriteable DVD-RW's.

I do the initial burns and testing in the BD player using DVD-RW and often find I have to make tweaks to the project and reburn using DVD-RW, this saves money and wasted discs.

Once I have the movie as I want it it has been burned and tested on DVD-RW and played in the BD player, I use Nero with the DVD-RW as a master disc to copy from onto DVD-R and then recycle the DVD-RW for the next project.
