.mp4 format

I have a digital copy of a movie that I want to use part of in my Magix movie that opens with Quicktime that is in .m4v format. When I try and move it to the edit bar it says it is unreadable? Why? I have downloaded the codec.

What version of MEP are you running?

I've used a converter program to duplicate the song / soundtrack from mp4 to mp3 and it loads that way with out problems.
