Music maker 2014 recording analog from vinal

I am new to this I just purchased MM2014 so I can convert my LP's to CD as of now I have been unable to find any real tutorials that cover anything above a very basic system description of the program Nothing I can use to figure out how to do this My turn table has the Phono and line function and am using a usb cable. I can get it to import part of the song but not all of it let alone the whole album can somebody please advise

Hi,

Wrong program for what you want to do, but a reasonable one comes with MMM and it is Music Editor 3. In Windows, go to Programs, Magix, Music Maker 2014, and select MAGIX Music Editor 3. Read the help file. Use Record under the Input tab to set up for recording. Select the type of input - vinyl, tape, etc. - check the input volume to make sure that it is not too loud. Once recorded, the program can place automatic markers for each song. There is a button at the top beside the word Marker for this. You can clean, edit, and master the songs and then export. Press on L which will give you the list where you can input the names of the songs - these are associated with the markers. The songs can be exported as a batch to individual MP3 files using the names of the songs that you put on the list (using L).

MMM is basically for creating music.

Further to my other answer, you may not have Magix Music Editor if you do not have the Premium version of MMM. Let me know if you have the Music Editor. If not, I can help you with using MMM to do what you want to do, but it definitely is not the right tool for the job.

Browj2 is correct in this issue. You need or want to buy AudioCleaning Lab. I am curious however, what ever made you think that MM2014 was what you needed ? Is there somethig on the box or weebsite that mislead you ? I feel your pain...but MM2014 is pretty trick stuff, I do hope you will use it and enjoy it

Yes thhe web site was misleading Being disabled and and living on change it will probablt take me another six months to save the money to buy another program 2014 gets lots of raves and I was refered to it by several web sites hailing it as the best for recording vinal verry disapointed in the soft ware and should be labeled as "NOT FOR BEGINNERS" any body wanna buy this thing? Thanks for the info folks I really do apreciate the responses and honest answers I will look again next year for a new program

don't give up so easily....if you were truly misled, contact Magix and explain how. If youp urchased from Magi , they do want happy and repeat customers. They may be willing to work with you. Magix Music Maker is a beginner program..with lots of buttons and whistles and VST and plug-ins and synths....but you don't have to start out using all that stuff until you have learned the basics and watched the tutorials. VISIT THIS FORUM JUST ONCE A WEEK AND READ ALL THE ISSUES PEOPLE HAVE..... and why ? because they have little or no patience. They want it all now and with no problems....."I was recording 619 tracks using midi and mp3 and stolen audio loops and now it won't......(insert problem/s).....This program sucks....can anybody help me ? I think I was using a laptop. I remember it was big and shiny. Thanks"
