Mute Audio button disappears for split video-segments in MEP 2026!!

I have an Mp4 video.

When clicking the audio-functions box, the buttons "Mute Audio Object + Remove Audio Object" appear, when the footage has not been split.

But when I've split the footage, to isolate the segment of video for which I want to mute the audio, those 2 buttons vanish from the audio-functions menu!

Hi,

audio-functions box

is where?

the buttons "Mute Audio Object + Remove Audio Object" appear

Where are these buttons?

Do you mean the menu selections when you right-click on the video part?

If so, it works fine here in 2026 Plus.

Do you have audio and video on separate tracks? If not, you should always do this, it makes it easier to drag down the middle handle to mute the audio and even mute the entire track. On the combined object, there are 2 middle handles. The lower one is for the audio volume. With audio on a separate track, when you right-click the audio part, you get more and only audio functions.

"Audio functions" only shows up if you right-click on the video part, not the audio part, as one is obviously already in audio functions by right-clicking on the audio part.

Right-click on the audio part and under "Set volume" you can turn the sound off and on.

I tried both with clips split and everything about audio is still there.

Right-clicking on the video part gives the menu shown below. I show both times the mp4 file split into two parts. I always get the Audio Functions in the menu.

And, right-clicking the audio part gives the menu shown below:
