Using movie edit pro 17 plus, i exported the video to my computer using hd1 as it's a large size, so i can scale the numbers down once uploaded.

However, uploading to youtube, i scaled the numbers they gave me which was something like 425x350 (as an example) and i put 950 width x 250 height.

but it will not go to the full length of 250....i don't know why it was scaled down so small, what can i do to get my full 950 width? i'm wondering if i should make the video smaller??  as i'm thinking youtube scaled down from 1720 width, does anyone know?

Thank you in advance for help.

I am sorry, I am not sure I understand.

What was the file resolution before importing into Movie Edit Pro?

What file resolution do you need exported?

well, it says 9.80 mb on the file, i put it for 950 width and 250 height, you tube keeps changing the numbers on me and won't keep it to that size, neither will daily motion for that matter.

i'm not sure what you mean by file resolution, did i answer that?

if you mean by file resolution the size? it turns out i did a size that is not acceptable it was 950x250  as i was thinking you could custom the size of the video, but it turns out you can't as they told me.  thanks for you help though.
