I'm not getting any output from the tv/video into the Magix Video Easy Rescue. Everything is plugged in: scart cable set to 'out' is in back of tv, red/yellow/white cables conneccted into USB stick which is going into USB port on laptop. Magix is picking up input from the built in laptop webcam but not from the tv/video. What do I do?

when you get everything set up and after choosing a new project, Import Video, on the actual Import page
you need to make sure that you are choosing MAGIX USB videoconverter and NOT your webcam. That should
actually do it for you.
Laptops are not ideal for what you want to do, even if on paper it looks as though your unit more than meets
the minimum specification. Check under Task Manager, and reduce the number of Tasks you have running to a bare minimum.
Also make sure that you do not have any other USB device connected whilst recording. The fact that your USB video converter is connected directly to a port on your computer is very good.
