What kind of sound card do you have?

I have never heard of this before, I have the same Movie Edit Pro, and I tried this with a couple different video clips, but I could position the playback cursor anywhere, press play and I had both audio and video.

Now, if you move the cursor while trying to playback or use the scrub feature, you do not get audio. Same with fast-forward, it only displays the video.

Realtek HD Audio

Intel(R) Display Audio

Yeah, even if I stop it and press play it's video only. The only way I can get both is to rip the audio from my video and bring it in as a seperate file.

As I stated before, I haven't ever had that situation before, so I am going to ask a few other things...

Is the video you are loading in on a hard drive or from the camera itself?

What format is the video?

What formats I have tested are files that are on an external drive that is connected by USB to my laptop. In all tests I have had audio play back without incident.

The Videos I load are VOB files from my hard drive.
