No way to move title objects on screen

Using Video Pro X11 as purchased through Humble Bundle, and am attempting to just add a simple title object to a video. The title editor, however, does not have any way of changing the position of the title object on the screen outside of the justification (left, center, right) buttons, and the Center Horizontal and Center Vertical buttons. The help file is remarkably unhelpful on this topic, and does not say anything about it.

I've searched through the forum without much luck either (you also cannot filter results in the forum by product which is remarkably unhelpful) so if any of you have figured out how to do this, I'd love to hear it.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums

See my two very simple screenshots. (You do need to be in Timeline mode.)

When you select to create a title you will get something like this on the Program screen (initially it will be highlighted in blue)

Click on the word "Title" on that screen and you will see it change to:

Simply drag the whole box to where you want it to be AND/OR any one or more of those orange nodes to rotate it or resize it.

If it helps, most basic functions between Video Pro X and Movie Edit Pro (all versions) are the same if the effect exists. Also this subject is covered on page 184 of your pdf manual.

So the PDF manual is significantly different than the CHM directly accessible within the application; good to know if ridiculous.

Unfortunately so.

The pdf is definitely worth a read or two. I have it accessible on my desktop just above the icon for launching the program. At least I find it laid out in an easy way to find things fast.

Hi,

Further to what Jeff mentioned, when you do not have the title editing interface showing or want to animate movement of the title, select it, go to Effects, View/Animation, Size/Position, and you can move the title around by dragging it with the mouse. Just make sure that the button for Preview is showing in the Size/Position interface and not Edit (meaning you have to be in Edit mode). Otherwise the dashed box around the title will not show.
