Normalize not available for a plug-in chain

SF17. I want to create a plug-in chain to automate a repetitive task. The first step is to normalize the audio file. Normalize is under the Process menu. Since it is technically not a plug-in, it isn't available for the chain. But I still need to perform a normalization as the first step on my audio files. Is there a substitute plug-in that will act as a normalizing function?

@dbarton Is normalization maybe available in the batch processor?

Another alternative would be writing a script to apply the effects you want.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll have to play around with batch processor and see what I can do. Scripting is possible, but will take a bit more time.

Hi @dbarton, Normalize is available in 'Batch Converter' but it's under the 'Volume' header. so choose 'Volume' as the effect, then select 'Normalize' below it.
I am not aware of a third-party peak normalize plug-in that does not effect the dynamics.
