Can we clarify something? Is it only on playback of the exported file(s) that you receive the message that a codec is missing? And is the problem present in both the DVD and mp4 exports, or only the latter?

If it is only the mp4, please read and follow this tutorial to download and use the free MediaInfo utility to analyse the exported file. Please copy and paste the results of the Text View to any future reply.

Also, can you confirm that the project plays perfectly whilst it is on the timeline and it is only on export that the problem occurs?

In addition to @emmrecs comment, which player, eg Films&TV, Windows Media Player, VLC etc, are you using to playback the exported MP4 video?
