Please tell me it's NOT true?!?!?!

Is it correct that there is no 'speed up' effect on Magix Movie edit pro 14 Plus? I simply want to take a clip and have it running faster (or slower) than the other clips in my video. I have read that there is an effect on the Pro 16 Plus edition......but I can't believe that such an essential effect is not included on the Pro 14 Plus edition. I am soooo disappointed as was really looking forward to getting my teeth into a far more complicated programme as I have always used Windows Movie Maker in the past. PLEASE can someone tell me it's not true and I've got some good bang for my buck!?!?!?! :-(

Dorrange -- It's NOT true!

Simply select your clip and go the the realtime FX window [Y] key shortcut. There you will find a 'Play speed' slider which magixly changes the speed of the video without changing the pitch of the attacked audio. The limit is between 0.5 (half speed) and 2.0 (double speed) if there is audio. You can go way more with the video alone if you first ungroup the audio from the video using the little broken chain link icon.

You definitely have bang for buck! The two feature I find most toothsome are the alpha mix effect and all the key frame animation of effects.

Carl

actually, you can change the speed to as much as you want (ther is probably a limit) and you can also make a video into a specific time so lets say a video is 1 hour and you cant to speed it up into one minute, you can do that and it ends up as 60x speed!

to go faster/slower than what Dorrange describes (using speed effect), you can export that segment as a movie, then import it to do it again.  Using this speedup-export-import-speedup method you can get it as fast or slow as you like.
