Program window and source window

I've read the 'help' details etc. but still can't work out what the 2 windows top left are in Magix Pro X3 - program and source.  What are they for? Also the image keeps disappearing in one or other window (mostly the program one) as soon as I try and do any editing. The only way I can get an image back is to go into 'window', 'window arrangement. I know I'm being stupid but please help! Thanks in advance.

Hi g1zmocat. The two 'windows' on the left are the 2 previewers in the program. They don't both need to be open, but you have them so you can perform mutlicam editing, i.e. see 2 tracks at the same time. Rather than write too much here, click on Help in the program, then Contents and in the search option look for multicam editing.

 

That will hopefully get you up and running quickly. Video Pro X3 does offer rather a lot, so don't worry if you're not quite an expert overnight. Cheers M o' L.
