Scene recognition cut at all markers has no effect

Hi,

I'm evaluating the MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2016 Premium (trial of version 15.0.0.73 (UDC2)).

I'm using the Scene recognition wizard this way:

  • select a video clip (e.g. in timeline)
  • Hit Shift+Z to launch the Scene recognition wizard
  • Start search
  • Number of scenes is found
  • Check the Cut at all markers option
  • Hit OK

After the wizard dialog closes, I see the selected video is not cut into scenes at all.

I just see the orange scene markers (flags), but nothing is actually cut.

But, if I check the Cut at selected marker and I select a marker, then my video is cut.

Am I misusing the tool or is this a limitation in the trial version or is there a bug?

Hi

Works OK on the full version 15.0.0.90.  There is no mention of a bug fix for this function in the updates from 15.0.0.73 via 15.0.0.77 to 15.0.0.90

The only thing different I did was to ensure Cut at all markers was selected  before beginning the search.

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, I also ensured the Cut at all markers was selected before I started the search.

I also tried the Save all scenes as takes option together with Cut at all markers and as far as I can tell, no takes are being saved either.

I may trhy to update my trial copy to the later version, but I'm not sure if the installer will allow me to do it.
