screen capture in Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus

Three questions:  First why do I only have the choice of screen capturing in the MXV format when the help video shows I should be able to record in MPEG format.

Second, and more importantly, why can't I edit the MXV file after it has been recorded?  I can view it but it will not open for editing when I try import it.

Lastly, when I hit record, the window does not disappear so it is also captured while I'm recording the screen capture.  It should disappear and be only in my taskbar, right?

Hi

1.  I would assume you have the download version of MEP15 - in which case you probably have not activated the required codecs.  You should have at least some of these (these are from MEP17)

Can you import and edit MPG files?

2.  This should not happen - MXV files are editable.

3.  Have you removed the check marks shown in this image (note this is for MEP17 but 15 is similar)

John
