sound & video doesn't match up. HELP PLEASE

please help! so i am new to this editing software, and i use it mostly to make music videos to upload to youtube. when i'm finished with a video, i save it, & play it back to make sure nothing is wrong. then i convert it to a file type that youtube supports. i upload the video to youtube, but the sound & audio doesn't match up! weirdly, it is ONLY off when uploaded to youtube; when i play it back before uploading it's fine. the sound is behind the video footage. i don't understand...i've created a lot of videos and the same problem has happened to all of them. maybe i'm not converting it to the correct file type? if anybody that uploads their magix videos to youtube can tell me what file type they convert it to , that would be greatly appreciated. idk if i'm being clear enough but please please help! thank you :)

What version of the Movie Edit Pro do you have?

Sync issues can happen if you are lets say taking a video that was 29.97 frames with audio that is sampled at 44.1KHz and export it in a way where the frame rate for either the video or audio is different.

When I export, I use .AVI format. It is a universal format, and Youtube can convert it to whatever. It takes longer to upload but I have not had any problems with the audio.

I started using WMA since I wanted a HD video and that too has worked out pretty well.

What are you converting to?

Are you using the Movie Edit Pro to do the convertion?

Same issue here only i'm not uploading to YouTube, I am burning to Blu-Ray DVD.  It's fine in edit/playback mode but once the disc is burned, the sync problem becomes evident about 10 minutes into the video.  I just posted a question, will see if anyone responds with known cause.  I've used Movie Edit Pro 10 without such issues in the past, but that doesn't support HD so I purchased MEP-17+hd for that reason.  Not too happy with it at this point.

Lespaul4me - download the patch for the Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus (if that is the version you have)... That patch fixes the sync issue for burning with those that had the error.
