sound won't play from jvc movie file on movie edit pro 14

I am trying to play video clips from my JVC camcorder (.mod/.mvd files) on my movie edit pro 14. I just activated the mpeg-2 codes, and the video does play but there is no sound. I thought I would try dragging the possible sound files (.moi/_4.AVD) to the editing screen, but it will not open.

Any ideas on what is wrong, and how to fix the problem? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

Hi

From what I can find about the JVC file format you only need to copy the .mod files to your hard drive, change the file extension to mpg and then import to MEP.

So long as you have the 'Extract audio' checkbox ticked in the settings menu (press Y key) you should be able to import both video and sound.
