Is that eagle frown a reflection of your opinion of the new forum John?

Does the system keep you logged in? I have to relogin at every visit, even if I have ticked the box.

Hi John: Thanks. It was a Magix server problem. I was able to post when I tried yesterday afternoon.

Al: Glad to see it's not just me having to login repeatedly!

This reply followed simply clicking Answer. I'm going to reply at least once more to see if I've grasped how to use the two Quote buttons.

I'm seeing odd time-stamps, 1 hour ahead. So when anyone replies could they say what their local time is at time opf replying please.

OK, I clicked Answer again. Who am I answering? John (the OP) or myself (the last poster)?

I haven't yet tried the (three?) quote buttons.

Re time-stamp, here's a screenshot.

Must be a time setting somewhere?

Hi Alwyn, Terry

I think the forum will just take some getting used to, there are several areas where I can see definite improvements over the old, however I feel there is a lot of wasted space with the style of the post display - having said that I find this is the style trend for many forums.

I am permanently logged in, I checked the tick box which said something like 'Keep me logged in', I also set the password in Firefox.

Normally you would click the answer button to respond to the original post, however if you wish to qoute another poster you use the Quote button below left of the post you wish to quote.

The time display appears to CET time, I would assume the servers are in Germany and they timestamp the posts to the local time.  At least it does keep the thread response sequence  timing  consistent!!

After a dehibernate, I'm now staying logged-on.

As mentioned elsewhere, the forum format is entirely bogus.

Can't search, and not at all viewable on iPhone or iPad (with Safari or Opera).

I think this format gives Magix devs an even bigger excuse not to participate!

Bahhhhhh
