The Imported Video is does not play the same way as it played on the actual programme?

I bought this some time ago, loaded it, had some ideas but they didn't work out too well lol.

But yesterday I made a video with it and I am actually quite pleased with myself. It plays fine in the programme and I thought "thats' great!" but unfortunately when I import it, it does not play properly it comes up very odd, actually it is almost like a diagonal line cut through it from the top left, and the picture itself is not even in color, it is in black and white. I have only one idea as to why it isn't doing it right, well when I get so far and select to import my project a message comes up with something like "the import settings differ from the project settings". I have tried to check the video setings in the project and compared it to the import settiings and I to be honest I really do not see anything in both settings that relate to each other, it seems to be sections have totally different optopns, so I do not know why it is saying that message.

It seems to me I can not check the settings are the same because the both have different options (Import Settings and project settings) so how can they be the same? I am sorry but this thing is annoying me a bit lol.. But I would have thought it would automatically set your import settings to the project settings. I do not have a clue as to why the final imported video doesn't play the same as it does on the programme, but any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

When you start a new project you must specified the project parameter at leat is PAL (european) or NTSC project also is a 4:3 or 16:9 check the picture. Now when you import a video file the file parameter must match the project parameter this is why the software ask you to convert the imported file to fit the project.

Regards,

YR
