URGENT: Cannot upgrade/crossgrade from ACID Pro to Vegas Pro 23 Studio

I submitted a ticket to Magix l think on Sunday 30 November 2025, because throughout the weekend I had been trying to upgrade / crossgrade to from ACID Pro 7 to the full Vegas Pro 23 Studio suite.

My ACID Pro 7 serial, repeatedly input, with and without hyphens, was being rejected - despite being already registered on my account.

The product l purchased is a genuine product. It seems that the upgrade route is not being honored? Is it just a cyber week thing?

With the week of discounts now drawing to a close, and the projected timeframe of a few days for a response now passed, I worry that I shall miss the window of opportunity to upgrade at Cyber week's prices.

 

Please can somebody from only the Magix team advise me? Apologies but I don't want to make this into a user-to-user discussion.

In addition, since your question is really more to do with Vegas Pro than any of the products covered in this forum I would strongly recommend going to https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/vegas-pro-forum/ and reposting your question there.

@Santana You need a Vegas serial number to upgrade to the new version of Vegas. Acid will not work. It's just a bonus software in the Vegas Suite package.

Does anybody know where the upgrade rules are written? Google AI tells me it is possible to upgrade / crossgrade from Acid Pro to Vegas Pro Suite

HI

Google AI and many other similar AI 'helpers' tend to suffer from hallucinations on what is possible, never rely 100% on the results they give you.

Upgrading a product must be for the same family of products. Vegas and Acid Pro are two different families of product, video and audio respectively.
