Using a Casio CTK-750 as midi controller

Greetings.     I am trying to use my Casio CTK-750 keyboard as a midi controller with MM 2013 Premium/Windows 8.    I have connected via a digiflex USB/midi cable and selected USB Midi as my Input device in settings.     I downloaded ASIO4ALL v2 and selected that in the ASIO driver box.     I   I can't get any input from the keyboard.    I would be very grateful for any suggestions.    Many thanks - Jon.

Found the problem.... It was a faulty cable!     It was a brand new cable but after a long elimination process, I concluded that it must be a fault in the cable.  (I took the back cover off the LED/electronics module in the cable and found a lose wire!)      All seems to working now.     Thank you for your help - Happy New Year to all.   Jon.
