Using the time-line (markers, nudging clips)

[Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus]

I've just come back to the Magix family after some time away and am having difficulty remembering how to do things. Two specifics please:

1) Is it possible to create a marker at a certain point in a clip, and have that marker move with the clip? I'm not talking about a marker attached to the timeline, but one that is attached to the clip. Such things are very useful when exactly aligning one clip with another and the audio alone can't be used for this purpose. (The Magix tool provided to align clips based on audio gives some interesting but useless results for me......)

2) If you have a clip running right across your timeline view (such that you cannot see either its beginning or its end), is there a command to allow you to shift the clip exactly a known number of frames? I'm hoping for something like Ctrl-Shift-LeftArrow, repeated 3 times, would move the selected clip 3 frames to the left!  Is there anytihng like that please?

Thank you for your help.

recycler,

1) Select your object, move the playback cursor to the desired location, right click and pick 'Edit snap point' >> 'Set snap point' You're limited to one snap point per object.

2) Create a snap point and zoom into it at single frame accuracy. Now when you can do the usual click and hold and drag movement you'll see your object jump a frame at a time.

Regards,

Carl
