If I read your problem correctly then you need to load only the .vob files into MEP. 

The VOB files are the movie files, and there may be more than one, the BUP and IFO files are data files about the movie and do not contain any video.

From my experience VIDEO_TS is a folder not a file. You want to import the .vob files into MEP. You can bring more than one and attach them to one timeline. I just finished a projected where I had a few corrupted .vob files that I could not import. I had to rip them first to a different format and then import the new file.
