Bear with what may turn out to be silly questions with obvious answers, but I have been unable to find the answers on the Magix web site!

I have used Magix video software for many years and am currently using VPX 15 (I don't automatically upgrade to the next version each time). I am now thinking about upgrading to VPX17 while the price is good. My questions are:

• I seem to recall that when I've purchased an upgrade in the past, minor fixes could be downloaded for free until the next major release. Is this still the case? The only mention I can find of this on the web site talks about patches, but it is vague about the availability.
• Will VPX17 completely overwrite VPX15 or is the previous version still available as a fallback (i.e. without uninstalling VPX17 and re-installing VPX15)? I can't remember what happened the last time I upgraded; I don't have the previous version any more but I may have uninstalled that myself to save some space.
