Where are the English users?

terrypin wrote on 6/21/2011, 1:41 PM

If there are any around, then my question shouldn't need any elaboration!

Edit: I now know how to find them: use the language filter.

Also, how should I interpret this please?

Edit: I now understand that's a bug of some sort.

And could  I get some help on how to attach or embed an image please? My first attempt gave a strangely scrambled result.

Edit: I now know how to embed a file here.

Hi,

Check this video tutorial this is in French but I use an English version this help a customer to add a logo or a picture on a video track to identify the movie like TV identification.

Remark Magix give nothing for guy like me to support others customers. That is the reason probably that nobody answered to your question.

Regards,

YR

Thanks YR, I appreciate your prompt reply, merci! But I'm puzzled why you've referred me to a tutorial about placing logos?

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my question. I am basically trying to discover if there are many English-speaking contributors in this community.

Also, is it really true that there is no way to thread the questions and replies here? If so, this seems a very surprising design! I have to answer my own question in order to reply to you! And then it is placed in a group of questions at the top, with the replies grouped separately at the bottom, and with not even a matching reference.

Hi,

That we can see on web German is top for number of question asked, follwed by French and Spanish. English UK is low. In USA and Canada Magix is not used too much the leader is Pinnacle system and Avid offering from 15 years a very good product. The reason to switch to Magix is they offer a Pro software at very low price compare to competition. The software is good and work fast. If you have a good computer no problem you can do everything you dream, export are well compatible that means a MP4 give exactly same result if you import in another software like Camtasia or Adobe Captivate 5 for me is a good point. How many users working in English ?  Not too much. The best support is you. Magix is offering a English training DVD but this give nothing to pay for it.

Regards,

YR

I knew I would find you over here eventually.

When I enter this forum, I do a Search for "Movie Edit Pro" and "Questions and Answers." Then I sort the list by "Newest first."

Whew!

Hi xerox, good to see you in this unfmiliar environment!

--------------------

Just tried your search method and rather like it. At last I'm seeing lots of MEP posts - in English!

But it only catches posts with the string 'Movie Edit Pro' in the title. So it must miss a lot. For example, my very first Answer here:

http://www.magix.info/uk/moving-on-a-map.knowledge.499048.html

--------------------

I've only just grasped the fact that forums are a new feature of magix.info. Presumably that's why you're using QA, even though it has this difficult non-threaded format? All my attempts to post in any forum failed last night and earlier today. Apparently due to a server problem, although there's been no communication about it (e.g. in Important Notifications...which seems the obvious place for explaining outages and other issues). I have now succeeded:

http://www.magix.info/uk/various-questions-about-this-site.forum.499076.html

EDIT: Hmm, maybe I'm mistaken about searches only catching text from the subject header.
