Why does Movie Edit Pro freeze?

WSITU wrote on 2/25/2011, 8:25 PM

I'm using Movie Edit Pro 17.  It freezes for about five seconds after every single action I take or button I click.  It's really becoming a nuisance, and it makes editing take much longer than it should.  Are there any settings I can adjust to fix this?  By the way, the computer I have is less than 2 years old, and I'm not going to buy a new one because of this, so please don't suggest that.

Thank you everyone.

Hi,

What is kind of project you try to do.

If you try to edit AVCHD project on computer 2 years generation you lack power normally if you click on time line and a delay more a few seconds indicate that computer cannot calculate enough fast.

Check your ressource using Ctrl+Alt+Del to view how many programs or process run you can close program like Skype, Adobe and check also memory used must be less than 400 megs.

Turn off you antivirus during working with Magix some free antivirus program use a lot of memory to run and scan all operation.

Your Windows systems run in 32 or 64 bits?

Have you clean your hard disk defragmantation using system tools.
