why would the video play back slower than the audio when editing and in the exported mov? the original file from fuji w3 3d camera is fine, but in mep17plus, the playback is wrong. any ideas?

in addition, i haven't done anything to alter the video/audio sync. could this be a codec problem? i am using an hp laptop, windows 7, 64 bit and tri def 3d monitor with movie edit pro 17 plushd. the video seems to be playing slowly, while the audio is normal speed.

Please make sure you have the latest patch installed. You can get the update from the help menu (you need to have your copy registered before you can update).

There were sound sync issues withthe initial release of MEP17.This was fixed with subsequent patches and the fix is in the latest update.

Are you referring to juddery playback that skips a lot?

This is normally related to HD material and performance issues on the PC, quite often with laptops you will see this problem as the laptop components are not powerful enough to edit AVCHD natively.
