@Atte-Tahvanainen If you can select the grabber as an input device Windows definitely installed the drivers, otherwise it wouldn't be available.

Do you know which video system your VHS player uses? As far as I know, the grabber supports NTSC and PAL but doesn't support SECAM.

You can update photos of your devices and cable connections to this forum via the arrow icon above the response text box. Maybe we can find a cause for the problem.

My vhs player is supporting pal as far as i know, it is philips 14tvcr240/13. I was thinking the driver problem because my device manager says that the video grabber producer is unknown and in the box, "there isnt anydrivers downloaded to this device" + when i tried to update the drivers, windows didnt find any. + im sure i have all my microphones, cameras etc allowed to apps @SP.

@Atte-Tahvanainen Is Magix Video Converter 3 listed in the device manager under Audio-, Video- and Gamecontrollers (Ääni-, video- ja peliohjaimet)?

It should look like this:

As you see, there is also an unknown Video Grabber device. It doesn't seem to make a difference.

You might need to turn on permission for camera access in the Windows security settings. This can be necessary to record video from external devices.

Make sure you allow access to desktop apps. The permission for standard apps only include apps from the Microsoft store. Desktop apps have a separate toggle.

Yeah i can see the magix video converter 3 listed in the device manager under audio video and gamecontrollers. Also i have those permissions on as you can see below, and i can see the Magix video easy RYVT edition has been using both my camera and microphone. So its not the unknown videgrabber, not either the permissions for camera and microphone. @SP.
