Now this one is different. I make these Cigar Box Guitars for some fun (I used to have a guitar repair business in the 80s-90s) Just some plywood and nice Aussie Tasy oak for the neck, some pickups and a cool sounding instrument with just 3 strings.

I decided to record using one of the CBGs in the cover picture.

just some drums and two tracks of guitar, bit of rythm and lead. I have quite mastered the art of slide playing on these but i have set up the action so I can also fret each note as well. So a combo of playing styles here. i hope to improve as I get into it abit more. oh of course heaps of distortion on the CBG sound.

Style ??? i'm going to go with rock.

enjoy

Hi JJ:

I've always said that musicians are musicians, and audio engineers are audio engineers.  It would be nice if we could just sit down and play without some of the technical complexities entailed with audio production.  Nonetheless, you've managed to get your musical point across.  Your guitar-playing (under whatever conditions) speak volumes, buddy.

Interesting, unusual guitars - the sound of them in addition to the percussion makes a really great song. Not commercial, no mainstream - experimental. I love it.
