All original, composed with synth and beatbox. I got most of the ideas for this music when I was about 13-15 years old. It is in fact one of my oldest songs, and possibly the first song I ever finished completely. That is why it is called "The Artifact". Now that all this time has gone by, I have made many slight changes, hopefully improvements, but it is still basically the same song as it was when I got the very first inspiration.
There are some lyrics about wanting to return to a time when my life was easier, and the feeling of nostalgia. The lyrics are a last minute addition, because it sounded like something was missing. As usual, they might be difficult to hear or understand. That is just my style. I use vocals as an effect, not the lead part. Anyway, listen closely to the vocals during the chorus. They sound similar to death metal vocals, but set to happy-sounding music.
The picture is of the MMM software I used for all my old song ideas, including the original version of this one. I probably have at least 70 song ideas stored on PS2 memory cards, so I have been re-making many of these since I got MMM15. All songs I upload are the new versions.
Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy one of my oldest songs, written as a child.
What I always like about your music is the innocence, originality and feeling of freshness, for the idea and for that age, I am immpressed and your love & skills with beat box further increase the respects.
On the vocals, honestly I could not comprehend the lyrics except for bits & pieces here & there, it also bursts out with some sub frequency (recording issue) an economical solution to come out of it is to consider buying a Microsoft Headphoe with Mike (costs around US$ 20-30) and it works wonders compared to the PC microphone.
I loved the sequence at 2:50...overall a very good track.
