I was fiddling away with a piece using piano and string vst's when I heard of the loss of pioneering electronica musican and icon, Isao Tomita. He died on May 5th this year aged 84. His 'Snowflakes Are Dancing' album released in the seventies won world wide acclaim and recognition - and is still a wonderful listening experience. A reworking of some Debussy classics. If you've never heard it, at least track down and listen to his gorgeous version of Clair De Lune.
Anyhow the news urged me to add a few pad sounds into the mix as a very small and inadequate nod to his genius. Not pretending I can do him justice in any way. Just wanted to mark his passing. Long may he and his work be remembered.
Thanks for listening, if you do.
