Is it possible to make section of my video have 'camera shake' effect?

Hello, I have a video which was shot off a tripod, however for certain chunks of it I need it to have a 'camera shake' effect.

I have looked on Magix MEP but cannot seem to find that effect option,
let alone a way to simply have it automatically applied to the entire duration of a section of video which I split into an independent chunk... :(

The closest Magix seems to offer is that if you click the ''hard shake'' button tab the 1st few seconds of your video will 'shake hard',
but that is all there seems to be available with this Magix software! :/

But is there any way to have a camera shake affect applied to an entire duration of video?

Thanks

Absolutely it can be done.

Automated? Not so much as far as I know.

If you look at the bottom of page 144 of your pdf manual it will give you the basics of how to go about it but it is a manual process. There is more than one way to get the effect but it boils down to approximately the same thing. Enlarge your image by zooming in slightly using the Size /Position effect, so when you move the frames about to produce the shaking effect you always have the image up to the edges of the frames. If you don't do that you will get black borders jumping in and out of frame as the image moves about. The frame positions can be edited using the key frame editor where you can activate the 'Activate curve view in the arranger' button (It has an eye symbol on it) for each of the axis you wish to move about manually in the time line view of the main editor using the Main editors Curve tool. This is quicker and easier than using the keyframe editor manualy for each axis position. The end result can then be saved as an action within the Size / Position effect giving the effect a title you can remember. Normally I would call such a clip 'Zoom Movement Shake' followed by the amount of frames the effect lasts for. If you edited say 15 seconds or whatever of the timeline you could then cut the video to seperate clips of those lengths and then use the 'Apply effects to all the following objects' for as many of the clips you wish to add it to. You need to make the effect relatively long and as random as possible or your eye may pick up on the looped effect. Make sure both ends of the effect stop / start in roughtly the same position on the screen or you will get a noticable 'jump' of frame position.

If there is a shorter way to do it, I personally haven't found it yet. Maybe someone else here has a more streamlined workflow for this.

Basically the keyframe editor can allow you to do lots of things involving movement, distortion, or any of the multiple effects MEP can do over time periods of your choosing. I use the key frame editor for tracking text to subjects moving within a frame of a video. It can be tricky and takes time, but I haven't found another way of doing it multiple times with the same clip.
