RE: DVDs cut don't play
@rickduley Hi Rick, Can you also show us a picture of the Disc Burning screen? Have you tried using the Image Recorder option, which will produce an .iso file which can then be burned to disc using any standard disc burning software (I use Ashampoo

RE: DVDs cut don't play
@rickduley Rick, I don't have VPX 17 but what I do do these days (as burners become less plentiful and OSs advance) is burn to an ISO first, check that it plays OK in VLC Player, then burn it to disk using IMGBurn. That will help isolate where the

BTW: any responses to question one? Should a squeaky-clean version of VPX16 burn DVD-DL discs okay?

RE: DVDs cut don't play
@rickduley Hi Rick From the burn image above it looks like you are burning to a slim line DVD burner (HL-DT-ST-DVD=-RW GU90N) is this an external USB drive or a laptop ? If a laptop then the computer spec in your signature out of date. If an

RE: DVDs cut don't play
@rickduley Rick, Should a squeaky-clean version of VPX16 burn DVD-DL discs okay? It "should", but "will" it? 😂 One thing before I risk turning another DVD-DL into a brick: Burn to the "Image Recorder"/ISO first. If that bit fails, you know it's the

You must have an old copy of Bilbo's (PC) specs @johnebaker, here is the current version https://1drv.ms/t/c/bb228147f3dd175d/IQAozf92GS9wT4dtvtMWQvgMASOm2g53Yv-tf07_lqJToHA?e=LTwsWn . The bad news is that I tried that big burn from Avidemux MP4s

Hi John @johnebaker My bad again. This is the correct burner/ I specially bought it because it says in the blurb that it will burn DL discs +R and -R.

RE: DVDs cut don't play
@rickduley Hi Rick . . . . I cut DVDs to disc (single and double layer) and they do not play either on my video player or even back in the DVD Drive . . . . What procedure are you using to do this from start to burning to disc and what

I have modified the signature. It was way out of date. I had forgotten it existed. More better? Thanks for the burner offer @AAProds, but no, Bilbo is a Dell OptiPlex 3070 with just the one place for a disc drive. That is a HL‑DT‑ST DVD+‑RW GU90N

RE: DVDs cut don't play
Hi @johnebaker I am using MAGIX Video Pro X16 20.0.1.270 and AFIK following standard procedure for burning DVD. There is, I think, only a set set of steps to create a DVD with VPX16. Perhaps these give some insight.

Bilbo's on-board burner gave me this response It always did which is why I bought the Verbatim external burner. MS CoPilot had me check the disc with ImgBurn and said"Ah — there’s our culprit, ...Your disc’s Media ID: CMC MAG‑D03‑64 tells the whole
