RE: AUDIO WAY OUT OF SYNCH
It is interesting that when I rendered the project as an AVI file, the lip synch was good, just not as an mp4 file.

AVI - Lagarith with MP3 audio
Greetings, Many moons ago I ripped one of my late fathers DVDs, created by a 3rd party, to a Lagarith AVI with MP3 Audio for "cleaning up" at a later date. That later date has arrived and I've started looking at one of the files today in MS2025 and

RE: Settings - CPU or GPU - Video Delux Premium 2026
@SHANE-KOHUT Certainly for export, use the 3080 for MP4-type source files. My 3060 is probably 5 times faster than the CPU export. For other source file types such as AVI, I find using the iGPU in my Intel CPU sometimes yields faster exports. Then

RE: Unable to import MKV files into Video deluxe 2026 Plus, Windows 10
All, I worked out the issue with that latest file (I should have checked before posting it): it is really an AVI with the HUFFYUV codec. Why it was made an MKV I don't know (not my doing), nor do I know why Magix opened it when it was an MP4 (I do

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
@clement5 Magix has an aspect ratio setting for the input video, which is probably not handled properly. It is mainly needed for AVI imports. In versions up to MEP2021, Magix must have been programmed to assume these AVI files were supposed to be

RE: exporting seperatly
Hello @AAProds, You didn't strike me as a smart aleck at all. You just wanted to point out that this option already existed. I used to create takes (*.TK2) from my DV tapes using scene detection (Shift+Z). To place one of these takes on the

RE: Incorrect frame rate on AVI output, incorrect display of frame
@clement5 I don't understand why you're comparing clips. Wouldn't you work on a clip, export it, edit in in another program, then re-import it? Why are you comparing the original exported clip with one that has been re-edited, in potentially another

RE: "Missing" audio in VPX16
@emmrecs Methinks "copy" is not really just that. Topaz could be rewriting the head info that throws Magix. Magix has done this to me occasionally; seemingly bog-standard audio won't import. Try another capture process eg the Magix dongle with

For AV1, no hardware encoding to speak of here on UHD770 or RTX 3060. Just says "mixdown...". CPU doing most of the work. Analogue AVI and H264 from my phone.

RE: Incorrect frame rate on AVI output, incorrect display of frame
@clement5 The reason for the comparison is that the YUV default output results in wrong output, and only the uncompressed AVI or other formats are correct. Then why use it? There are plenty of other lossless compressed formats you can use. This

Export Video as AVI
I have a video that is 1920x1080p with a 23.976 framerate. I exported this video using File|Export movie|Video as AVI... I did not change any default settings, and I set the file name to my D: drive with an AVI extension. The AVI video used the

RE: Recording time doesn't work in MEP2021 Plus
My suggestion for MAGIX: If the file is not in DV-AVI format, MAGIX could calculate the time from the creation time in the file metadata, which usually starts from the time the recording started (in this case it started 2025:04:03

@johnebaker John, which of your players/TVs don't play this correctly? 😉 https://drive.google.com/file/d/104-8P0npodNURwL39fWmGmqHBu5rS9-a/view?usp=sharing Ex-analogue AVIs are a different kettle of fish. I get them into 768x576/720x540 ASAP.

@Gra_Ham You may like to try this little hack I've successfully used for a similar problem using DIVX and MP3 in an MKV container. Split the file using gMKVExtractGUI (a Google search showed this https://www.videohelp.com/software/gMKVExtractGUI).

RE: Recording time doesn't work in MEP2021 Plus
@MovieEditorr My understanding is the "Recording Date and Time" is only for DV-AVI, where the actual date+time is inserted into the tape as it is being recorded (a characteristic of the DV format). At any point in the recording, you can use that

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
The solution in VD is very simple, use the aspect ratio parameter only as the display ratio and not as an indicator of how many pixels. Then the resolution or pixel count determines what is exported. In the case of AVI, the aspect ratio would be

RE: Export Video as AVI
@Jamil-Taylor Magix Movie Studio (and I assume VPX) does export OpenDML AVIs. Open one of your files in Mediainfo and look at the Format Profile; it is "OpenDML". I'm no expert on OpenDML (I use compressed lossless codecs for my AVI work) but this

cleaning head might be an idea, so long as no risk of damage. I have a bit under 60 hours of tape in total - does that count as a lot? @Gra_Ham, I'll look in my files. I remember I made notes to myself when I went through this whole process. I think

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
@clement5 Setting 4:3 should just compress the output horizontally while keeping the vertical at 480 to have a realistic picture. Never! should a program automatically squash a too-wide video into the selected frame size. You can use your TV remote
