  So, pics show the error, and the unfamiliar MPEG-4 (Advanced) screen.  I take it back, I guess it is the H.264 screen, though it seems simpler than the one I knew from MEP 2013.  I've tried re-installing a bunch of codecs, including the K-Lite

  UNABLE TO COPY CD's

  HHS tape, is that from a SD- or HDV-camera ? Then you have 2 or 3 AVI- or MPG-files? Drag the file(s) with the mouse to the Timeline, that's all. (though, I don't know Video Easy)
