RE: Evening out the sound levels across multiple scenes in a video
geo234, Sorry I'm not much of an audio tech, but I don't think there is anything in MEP to auto adjust clips to the same level. After all, what if you do have genuinely quiet clips and very loud ones in you mix? Only suggestion is to try

    RE: New to Magix
If you go to the you tube video I did for Special Olympics TX. At time segment 40 to 1:05 I do titles, PIP in 2 locations and fad in out out on 3 segments (as I call them). If MEP can handle these items, then cool. As I try to do better with each

How do you display track curves on video track?
I've seen you can have those wave forms displayed on audio track and then I like to adjust the volume track in the middle of the audio track in case I want to voice over so that the music isn't loud. But if I want to display the tracks for a video

RE: MULTICAM EDITING WHERE ONE CAMERA HAS BEEN SWITCHED ON AND OFF
The trick for aligning multicam recordings is to use the graphical representation of the audio track as a visual clue to "line up" the two (or more) simultaneous recordings.  (I think you have a setting where MEP lines up the footage according to

RE: Where is the "Multicam: Master audio track" selection? See .pdf excerpt below
Thank you Jeff, I had to ask because I once got caught thinking that I could use "multi-cam" to mix two video sources and of course it was a disaster. So, listen to the audio track from both cameras pick the best one and choose that as your

    Audio Level
Hello friends,  Now I have a question that actually deals with the audio. Setting audio is really a pain and sad thing for me at times. When I finish the project with varous effects and titles I watch it in my LED. But sadly here the sound is

    Cannot record at different volumes
Hi. I unplugged the mic & after plugging it in, Magix only records at a very low base volume no matter how loud I record. Basically, I could shout into the microphone, & the volume would still just be a flat, low line. I've adjusted all

RE: How to display full-phase waveform of audio track??
Hi Jeremy. Sorry to be late replying, I've only just seen your updated message. In VPX3 (and still the case in MEP MX) the graphical representation of the waveform is "built around" the centre-line.  That "line" represents (in theory) a sound

RE: How to display full-phase waveform of audio track??
First, have you "separated" the graphic representation of the waveform from the video object, i.e are they on separate tracks?  (Shortcut Ctrl+H.)  And chosen to display the waveform? If so, what you now see IS different to how it is presented

RE: Please Help!! Recording vocals increases volume of other tracks???!!!
That's because your vocal track is not only recording the vocals but the backing track(s) as well.  When they are played back, you are playing two instances of the backing tracks, so they sound twice as loud as they should. Unfortunately, I

RE: How do I maintain a uniform audio volume or the same volume for all the audio objects in a track so that my viewers need not run around for remote to increase or decrease the volume when they see my videos?
Hi Right click each audio object and select Normalize - this will bring up the levels of the 'quieter' audio and decrease the levels of the 'loud' audio. To control the overall audio level select the Mixer (M key) and set the master to  -6db,

    RE: Sound Advice
Hi, Many people try to get their audio tracks to peak at  -2 dbfs, some even try to peak at 0 dbfs because they want to have a “loud” sounding audio track and try to minimize “noise”.  This may work sometimes but more often it creates an audio

RE: Altering non-uniform sound levels inside an imported video WAV file
Hmm, interesting problem! I assume that each "section" of the video is a separate object on the time line?  If not, and there is just one continuous object this is somewhat easier.  Highlight the audio track and right-click on it, select Show

    RE: Sound Advice
Hi When you have finished editting the project - open the mixer (M key) and set the master volume level to -6db - this should eliminate the 'over loud' audio.  If this is too low set the master level to -3db. HTH John
