I started with the free trial today. It doesn't have ANY soundpools and only one synthesizer: Robota. It won't be much of a trial if that's all I can play with. Is there somewhere to download more soundpools?

In MM-15, the metronome is associated with the Vita MIDI editor. Click on the Synthesizer tab at the bottom of the screen, then double-click on the Vita synthesizer. This will create a MIDI object in one of the tracks and bring up the MIDI

Assuming you are using a version of MMM with this feature (you didn't say), one would use the Vita MIDI editor to create their own loops. You have a wide variety of instruments to choose from. In MM-15 you will find it under the Synthesizer tab.
