Export showing file type name at beginning of slide show
I've exported my slide show as an AVI and MPG4. Both show the file type, AVI, or MPG4 over the title when the slide show begins. I do NOT want the file type shown. How do I get rid of this?

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
The aspect ratio is indeed 3:2 which is calculated from 720:480. AVI does not support display aspect ratio, so it is up to the display program to determine it. I just imported it into MMS 2025 and it imports as well as displays. I imported my

    Deinterlacing-How does Magix do it?
Scenario: DV-AVI or Analogue AVI, interlaced. Options: on the video properties menu, there are now only 3 options: Full frame (no interlacing), BFF of TFF, as well as the "Processing/Interpolate" tickbox. Question: what does it all mean? What's the

@emmrecs Greetings Jeff, As well as the three "in progress projects" I tried I also started a new 5 minute VHS to AVI SD using only Gamma correction and Neat video. It worked, edited and exported cleanly without any problem. I saved it, closed down

    RE: Registration/Activation Problems
The AVC codec shouldn't be in the AVI container/extension. AVC ie H264 should be in a MP4 container. To get the AVC/H264 codec into an MP4 container, just use File>Export Movie> Video as MP4.

@me_again Hi Andy . . . . we've all done things that we later regret . . . . . Ouch - however I have to agree! Looking at the info on the original and redone AVI files I suspect that you have either the 'DV Type issue' or the original file needs

RE: MP4 audio going out of sync
I've experienced a similar problem on and off over the last few years with NTSC video. Sometimes an update fixes it, other times brings it back. I've found that the exported video ended up at 25 fps, even though I set it to 29.97 when I exported it.

    RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
I think/assume Magix dropped the analogue AVI ball with the new SPR. Prior to that, they even had the program automatically apply the 4:3 aspect ratio to AVIs like these. Now that was clever. MEP 2021 will do that. Re the frame salad, MEP 2021 does

    RE: Registration/Activation Problems
@Christopher-Zahrobsky Chris, further, the message about the MPEG 4 codec probably was valid because you were trying to open an AVC-coded file, even though the extension is AVI (as I mentioned above). I doubt that that message would be displayed

    RE: Export Video as AVI
@Jamil-Taylor File size is only function of bitrate and time, nothing else. What I am stating is that DivX Pro at 8220kbps avg bitrate created a 9.68GB video file. Not so; your Mediainfo shows the bitrate of your DivX file as only 6251: If you did

    RE: Best Quality Export
@RichardDP @AAProds I agree with the MXV advice but, as @AAProds impies, it can only be played in a Magix program - such as Movie Studio/ MEP and Photo Manager. From information I gleaned some time ago, MXV is a container for a "pure/raw series of

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
=== The PAR has nothing to do with how the video is supposed to be displayed. For example a captured AVI of 720x480 is supposed to be displayed in a 4:3 frame. An AVI of 720x576 is also supposed to be displayed in a 4:3 frame, not a 5:4

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
According to what I have read the AVI standard does not include an aspect ratio field however other containers or codecs do have embedded aspect ratio. MS assumed 4:3 and dutifully created a copy of the original with the same frames, but obviously

    2 avi Exports selections

RE: How to burn files to BD with menus but without having to re-encode?
@jak.willis Because if I’m encoding in 720x576 then it will be throwing away some pixels - am I right? Surely the answer to that largely depends on your original files. If the source of those files was anything above 1024x576 then pixels surely

@johnebaker does your VPX 12 have the option to record AVI as VPX 15 does. John, I can indeed! Very interesting! I'm sure your missing MPEG option is a out of date driver for the dongle.

    RE: Black screen in video
@friendflyer That fact that the file opens but goes awry after an hour IMO points to a program issue (inability to handle the complex HEVC codec with the temp files/RAM clogging up) or a computer/memory type issue. For example, many moons ago, Magix
